Washington Post, The (DC) - September 26, 1994 Deceased Name: ZION M. HAMOU -- Businessman Zion M. Hamou, 43, co-owner of East-West Auto Parts in Sykesville, Md., died of heart arrhythmia Sept. 18 at Montgomery General Hospital. He lived in Silver Spring. Mr. Hamou was a native of Jerusalem and a graduate of the Electrical College in Tel Aviv. He came to the United States and settled in the Washington area in 1970. He worked initially as a dental technician and later owned two clothing stores, Manny'z in Alexandria and Solar Plexus in Silver Spring. He went into business with his brother in Sykesville a year ago. Mr. Hamou was a member of Har Tzeon Agudath Achim Synagogue in Wheaton and the Olney Manor Tennis Association. Survivors include his wife, Diane Krovitz Hamou, and three children, Samuel, Eli and David Hamou, all of Silver Spring; his parents, Maurice and Alice Hamou of Hollywood, Fla.; a brother, Menachem Hamou of Silver Spring; and two sisters, Esther Nuriel of Flushing, N.Y., and Miriam Hamou of Hollywood, Fla.
